Stage #2: Websites

1. What new features do you notice that could be added to the Quality Website Features?
2. What common elements do you notice across all the websites?(does every website have a title?)

Website #1 The Mountain:
1. The website designer could have made it less confusing to go to a different tab after clicking on one. The background could have been les distracting.

Website #2 Kris Black:
1. This website was not confusing and very easy to navigate. The colors were not distracting and it had a lot of information.

Website #3: Olivia Cleans Green
1. The layout was a bit overwhelming, not sure where to focus. There were a lot of adds and that is distracting.

Website #4: Digital Content Creator
1. This website designer could have added more information to the website instead of just one video. However, the there was a lot of information on who the woman is.

2. Common elements across all the websites would be that they were mainly all about a single person trying to promote themselves. Most of them had adds or other links to go to on the pages. There were many pictures and videos on the websites, most did not have a lot of writing.

Stage 8 Challenges

Challenge 1: This app would output a Halloween countdown. If you input the date it will tell you how many days from then Halloween is. If you input your birthday it could tell you how many days Halloween is from your birthday.

Challenge 2: This app will be able to tell when you are in school and be able to shut your phone ringer of while you are there. If you input your location it is able to detect if you are in school or not. It also recognizes the holidays and days off from school so it doesn't shut your ringer off for those days.

Challenge 3: This app helps you figure out what to wear in the morning. It is able to detect the weather for the day. You can input your favorite colors and what activities you will be doing throughout the day. This will help reduce stressful mornings.

Challenge 4: This piece of software helps you decide what movie to go to. If you input your interests in different types of TV shows, books and movies it will be able to suggest some that you may enjoy. I think this would be helpful when you can not decide on what movie to see.

Class Assignment Thursday 3/2

Five Student Blogs: Julia Looby (Alarm Clock), Olivia Sahagian (Himirror), Nicole Sayman(Glasses),  Lucas M (Interpreter from the blind),  Grace K (bodytrack)

The invention that I found most interesting was the alarm clock that Julia researched. It is an alarm clock that wakes a person up with the scent of a croissant. It also has the ability to track sleep patterns and breathing and seems to be something that I would definitely use. It said that using a smartphone can be bad for an alarm clock and that is what I use, so I think this would be a great investment for me. The smell of a croissant would definitely be much better than a loud obnoxious noise.
