Today, January 27th, marks the 17th year that Bill Belichick has been the New England Patriots head coach. He has had seven conference titles which is the most of any head coach in the Super Bowl era. Meanwhile, Belichick's four Super Bowl victories matched Chuck Noll for the most by a head coach, and his 25 playoff wins are also the most ever by a head coach. On the day Belichick was hired, Kraft said, “He has an intimate knowledge of our team, intimate knowledge of our players and our division. People devise defensive schemes based on his success. He’s the most capable person at this point to help us win next year.”As it turned out, it has been the next 17 years and counting.
